BIOGRAPHY
Rochdale based artist working in, and inspired by the Healey Dell Nature Reserve.
My studio is situated within the tranquil Spodden Valley, where following Art College and art teaching in Greater Manchester, I joined Healey Dell Workshop, and have been producing my own work for the past ten years.

Surrounded by nature in a peaceful setting, I sculpture in clay, metal and plaster, paint in oil, pastel and watercolour, also creating colourful mosaics. Still life and flowers are an inspiration when creating brightly coloured paintings, but I also like the use of light and shade to emphasise the movement of tall grasses and trees blowing in the wind.

In my paintings of houses and gardens I use strongly contrasting colours to bring to life places I have seen, and some I have imagined. You will see as you explore my gallery that I like the challenges different media provide, especially the modelling of heads and figures of people and horses. I like to tell a story in my paintings with the use of light, reflection, movement, trees and buildings.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work and should you wish to visit the Gallery, to buy or just browse, you are very welcome. My time at the Gallery and workshop varies, so for further information on the artwork or details on prices, please contact me at any time via phone or email.

Hope to see you soon – I look forward to your visit.
